Little Cam Freebie

Hello all!

I am finally getting around to posting this freebie, which I have stitched twice already! This freebie is called "Little Cam" and is done in honor of my family's rooster of the same name.

Little Cam was a rooster that was found wandering the woods of our local state park, hungry and without a home. My grandfather told my brother, the one who found Little Cam, to bring him to his farm so he would be safe and taken care of. Little Cam absolutely loved his new home; he got tons of free food and got to watch over all of the ladies he could ever want. He got his name from my grandfather, who started calling him Little Cam because of my brother who brought him home, Cameron.

Little Cam may have been half the size of all the other chickens, but he absolutely ruled the roost (or thought he did, at least!). He had his fun crowing straight into my ear, standing directly on top of the other chickens to see higher, and digging for bugs in the dirt. We absolutely loved having him on our farm, and miss his presence every day. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his girls, and was given a proper funeral in 2023.

I made this pattern to honor Little Cam, and am so happy to display him on my walls. If you're interested in stitching him, you can check out the pattern below!

Happy stitching!

Ho Ho Ho Freebie

Hi everyone!

I'm back with a new Christmas freebie pattern! This one is "Ho Ho Ho" and I stitched it on a piece of green and red 14 count aida, which was a scrap that I found in my stash. I used a charcoal colored floss to stitch this piece, but feel free to use whatever supplies you have.

Enjoy!

See you next time!

Gather Freebie

Hi everyone!

The weather is cooling down, the holidays are here, and I'm ready to cuddle up with my stitching for a long night!

Thanksgiving is fast approaching and my mind is set on Christmas, but there's still time for a little thankful stitching. My new little freebie is called "Gather" and is finished just like all my other little word freebies. Choose your own floss colors and fabric, and take the reins on your finishing as well, totally customizable!

Enjoy, and don't forget to tag me in your stitching! Happy Thanksgiving!

Lightning Bugs Galore

Hi all!

I'm back once again with another freebie! This piece is a stitched representation of one of my favorite childhood memories, one that many of you might be able to relate to in some way.

Growing up, I would spend many summer nights running through my grandpa's cornfield behind my house with my brothers and cousins, catching as many lightning bugs as we possibly could. We would see how long they would stay on our hands, almost as a competition to see which ones stayed the longest, and then we would bid them farewell as they flew away on their next adventure. Now, every time I see a lightning bug, I remember those nights and it always brings a smile to my face.

Sooo of course I had to stitch that memory!

I used a glow in the dark floss for the lightning bugs, as well as a glow in the dark paint for the finishing piece, which I think compliment the piece well. This was a super quick stitch, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!

Happy stitching!

Fourth of July Freebie

Hello everyone!

I am back again with a new freebie pattern for you all! I just love my little word freebie series, so I decided to design another for the Fourth of July. I stitched "Freedom" with a blue floss on a light blue hand-dyed fabric. I finished mine into a little pillow, just like all the others, but I neglected to put cording around the sides (perhaps I'll find the time later on to do it!).

Feel free to stitch this cutie up with any color and fabric you want, and finish it however it speaks to you. Enjoy!

Together Again Freebie

Hi everyone!

I'm finally back with another freebie pattern for you all! This pattern is called "Together Again" and it is something I designed right after the death of my grandparents. This piece is in honor of them being together once again in the afterlife. Of course, this piece won't hold that sentimentality for you, so feel free to strip it for parts! Need a goose? Here's a goose! Need a heart? Here's a heart? Need border inspiration? I got that here! Go nuts and make it your own, however you need!

Happy stitching!
