Four Seasons Large Cube

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving if you live in the US! I'm always in charge of the desserts in my family, so this year I made six different kinds of mini pies, two batches of homemade ice cream, and some sugar cookies.

Today I want to talk about the next release I had after the small cubes. "Four Seasons" is the first cube in my Large Cube Series.

Each of the four sides features one of the seasons, as well as a tree that represents that season.

On the top is a panel that combines all four seasons.

This cube is designed to be part of all of your seasonal displays, so all you have to do is turn it clockwise to show the new season!

I had a lot of fun designing this cube and thinking about what the tree would be like every season. I hope to do more large cubes like this in the future!

The large cubes differ from the small cubes not only in size, but also in construction. The small cubes are stitched on one piece of fabric and only certain sides have to be sewn together. The large cubes, however, are stitched on six different pieces of fabric and each side has to be sewn together. The layout for this project is included in the purchase of this pattern, but it is really just a matter of matching the borders up.

Each side is 4" x 4" on 14 count fabric, and is 80 stitches by 80 stitches. Only 10 DMC colors are used: Blanc, 208, 301, 310, 322, 349, 699, 725, 801, and 3687.

And that's it for me today! I hope you all have a wonderful day, and I will be back next time to talk about my first flat finish!

Have a great day!
